Here’s how to get up close with Tim Tebow this weekend at Roger Dean

Hoping to get an autographed baseball — or at least an up-close sighting — of Tim Tebow this weekend at Jupiter’s Roger Dean Stadium?

Here’s the scoop.

Tebow, 29, is expected to play at least three out of the four games on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. The former University of Florida quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner has played seven out of the last eight games with the St. Lucie Mets.

Watch Tebow make a great catch in left field.

The best time to see Tebow on Friday — and the other three game days — is to be there when the Mets arrive by bus about about 45 minutes prior to the start of the game against the Jupiter Hammerheads.

On Friday, that would be about 5:45 p.m.

Game times:

Friday – 6:30 p.m.

Sat. – 5:30 p.m.

Sun. – 1 p.m.

Mon. – 6:30 p.m.

Tickets are between $7 – $10 and are still available.

Tebow and the Mets will not be practicing on the Roger Dean field before the game. They will hold a pre-game practice session at their own First Data Field, which is less than an hour away in St. Lucie.

Inside Roger Dean Stadium before the game, Tebow is likely to walk over to the stands and visit with fans and sign autographs, said Mike Bauer, general manager of Roger Dean Stadium.

“He likes to come over and talk to the fans,” said Bauer.

Another good time to see Tebow is when the Mets leave Roger Dean Stadium after the game is finished.

Big crowds have been happening whenever Tebow plays.

About 2,500 additional tickets are expected to be sold during the games at the 7,000-seat Roger Dean Stadium, said Bauer.

“He’s a celebrity. People want to watch him play,” said Bauer.
