I-95 night lane closings north of Indiantown Rd start May 9

Night lane closures on I-95 from Indiantown Road in Jupiter north to Bridge Road in Martin County are expected to start on May 9.

Lane closures will occur Sunday through Thursday nights from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m.

At least one lane in each direction of I-95 will remain open while the night work is being done, according to the Florida Department of Transportation.

Signs to give motorists advance notice of any ramp closings on Indiantown and Bridge roads will be provided two weeks prior to any work being started, according to FDOT.

The work is expected to be completed in the fall of 2018.

Total cost is about $17 million.

The exact area for the I-95 work is from the C-18 Canal just south of Indiantown Road in Jupiter to just north of Bridge Road in Martin County.

That’s about 10 miles.

An information meeting is planned Tuesday, May 2 from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. at the FDOT office at 860 Jupiter Park Drive, Suite 2 in Jupiter.

Project officials will be on hand to answer questions. There is no formal presentation planned.

The meeting is free and open to the public.

All I-95 lanes and entry/exit ramps in both directions will be resurfaced. Minor shoulder and guardrail repairs are planned. The southbound bridge approach slab at approximate mile marker 89.5 is planned.
