The painted rocks have been hidden at three Jupiter play areas
Sunglasses, mini-footballs and coloring books are the prizes for children who find about 60 painted rocks hidden in three Jupiter play areas.
The rocks, ranging in size from an egg to a tennis ball, were painted earlier this month by about 30 children aged between 5-12 attending the town’s “School’s Out Camp.”
Ducks, lions, palm trees and other pictures of many colors were painted on the rocks, which were purchased at a local store for about $50, according to Jupiter records.
The town’s recreation staff hid the rocks along sidewalks, in bushes and around playgrounds at Abacoa Community Skateboard Park, Jupiter Community Park and at the playground at the Jupiter Community Center.
Children who find the rocks can turn them in at the Town’s Community Center, 200 Military Trail.
