The fence is up around the property and work is set to start soon at the new dog park at Cinquez Park in Jupiter.

Plans for the first phase, expected to take about eight months and cost about $2.5 million, calls for the dog park, shaded areas, picnic tables, lighting, walking trails, fencing, landscaping, bicycle racks and removal of non-native plants.

Separate dog park areas would be for large and small dogs. A dog-drink station is planned.

Future plans, which would require additional money, call for a community garden, open grass fields, children’s playground and a treehouse.
