Squash, a sub-adult loggerhead sea turtle, is scheduled to be released back home into the Atlantic Ocean on Wednesday, April 5 at about 11 a.m.

Squash was found last November floating and unable to dive in the Intracoastal Waterway near Jensen Beach.

Florida Fish and Wildlife officers brought the turtle to Loggerhead Marinelife Center for treatment.

After several months of rehabilitation, the sea turtle is now healthy and ready to swim back home.

The release is free and open to the public.

Guests are encouraged to arrive early for the best viewing.

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center is at 14200 U.S. 1 in Juno Beach.
