Members get privileges at restaurant partly owned by Michael Jordan

The restaurant “will redefine the fine dining experience,” according to the brochure advertising for membership.

Annual memberships at 1000 North are $2,500.

Former NBA star Jordan is one of 13 owners in the 325-seat restaurant on the Loxahatchee River expected to open by the end of 2017.

The private club will be on the second floor, which will also have office space.
The first floor will be open to the public.
And what do members get?
* Exclusivity. Membership is limited and by invitation only.
* Valet Parking. Members will enjoy complimentary valet parking.
* Dining Benefits. Members will be entitled to members-only dining
benefits such as priority reservations, a private dining room, and
the chef’s table.
* Private Events and Parties. Members may reserve the club‘s
facilities, subject to availability, for private events and parties.
* Special Events. Guest chefs, wine tastings, cooking classes, and
more will be offered.
* Docking Privileges. Members may dock their boats adjacent to
the club on a space-available basis.
* Home Catering. Subject to availability, members may have the
club cater their private events and parties at their homes.
* Concierge Services. Member concierge services will be available
that will enable members to arrange for a variety of personal
services, including dining reservations.
* No Assessments. Members are not subject to either operating or
capital assessments.
* Website. Members will receive a username and password to access
the members-only portion of the club’s website, which will serve
as a resource of information and a portal to the club’s dining
reservation system. Members can log on and view the periodic
member newsletter, details about upcoming events and activities,
and downloadable Club event photos.

“So far we have had a very good response. We will limit the membership to about 300. We’ll see what the demand is,” said Ira Fenton, one of the managing partners.

 The other dozen investors include former New York Giants running back Tucker Frederickson. Jordan has a home in the Bear’s Club, a private community in off Donald Ross Road in Jupiter.

The 18,000-square-foot restaurant, off U.S. 1 just north of Burt Reynolds Park, will have about 75 outdoor seats — including an outside bar — and overlook the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse. A public dock and boat slips are planned.

Other restaurants in the area that have private memberships are located in Jonathan’s Landing, the Loxahatchee Club and Lost Tree Village.
