The North County Neighborhood Coalition and PBG Watch are separately hosting candidate forums for the Palm Beach Gardens City Council election.

If you’re looking at the long list of Palm Beach Gardens City Council candidates and wondering for whom you should vote, two upcoming events may help you decide.

First, the North County Neighborhood Coalition is having a forum 7 p.m. Thursday at the Mandel Jewish Community Center, 5221 Hood Rd., so people can get to know the candidates and their views on the issues. The coalition made up of more than a dozen neighborhoods from West Palm Beach north advocates for quality of life through communities, businesses and governments working together.

Then, the City Council candidates will delve into the issues again at a PBG Watch forum 6 p.m. Feb. 28 at the Gardens Branch of the Palm Beach County Library, 11303 Campus Drive. WJNO radio host Brian Mudd will moderate the forum jointly sponsored by the North County Democratic Club, Palm Beach County Tea Party, Republican Club of the Northern Palm Beaches and Republican Club of the Palm Beaches.

The program is not sponsored or endorsed by the library.

Three Palm Beach Gardens City Council members – Mayor Marcie Tinsley, Vice Mayor Eric Jablin and Councilman Bert Premuroso – cannot seek re-election because of term limits. The candidates for the seats they hold are:

Group 1 – Mark Marciano, Michael William Paolercio

Group 3 – Matthew Lane, Ron Berman, Kathryn Gettinger

Group 5 – Joseph R. Russo Jr., George Wicker, Rachelle Ann Litt, Kevin Easton
