8 p.m. UPDATE: Florida Power and Light officials say they were misinformed earlier and eastbound traffic between Alternate A1A and Prosperity Farms Road will remain closed to traffic Monday night due to “extensive” damage from the storm.
At this time, it’s unclear when the road will reopen, according to FPL spokesperson Dave McDermitt.
McDermitt said there was an “extensive amount of wind damage” to power lines and other FPL equipment that workers are still cleaning up and securing.
7 p.m. UPDATE: Eastbound Donald Ross Road has reopened after Florida Power and Light workers spent a majority of the day cleaning up and restoring power after a storm that came through the area during the early hours of Monday.
Officials say power has been restored to 99 percent of people in the area as of 6:30 p.m.
Traffic was closed since about 1 a.m. Monday morning.
The tornado damaged the power lines and caused other damage to a trailer park, the Juno Beach Fishing Pier, schools, and gates at Juno Beach Park.
