Shooting hoops or playing a game of pickup basketball is off-limits at Mirasol Park in Palm Beach Gardens this week.

The basketball courts at the city park, 12385 Jog Rd., are being resurfaced. The blacktop will be smoothed and the cracks repaired, according to the city. The courts will also get new paint and striping.

The project will continue through the week of Jan. 23, weather-permitting, according to the city. All the courts are closed until the work is finished.

The construction at the Joseph R. Russo Athletic Complex on 117th Court North continues. The addition of multipurpose fields, a bike trail, walking trail and playground, among other amenities, is expected to be complete this spring.

Other park closures:

PGA National softball fields, 1 Ryder Cup Blvd. – closed through Jan. 23

PGA National multipurpose fields – closed through Jan. 22

Gardens Park multipurpose field, 4301 Burns Road – closed through Feb. 10
