A new shopping center with restaurants and a home improvement store, gas station and bank will land on Donald Ross Road in the next two years after the Palm Beach Gardens City Council gave its approval Thursday night.
While most of the future occupants remain unnamed, one of the anchor tenants was revealed when Ken Tuma, the planner representing owners Brock Development and NADG, reviewed the plans. Lowe’s will be the 119,361-square-foot home improvement store with a garden center.
A grocery store, fitness center and personal services are also planned. In a video simulating a drive through the complex, it appeared similar to Legacy Place.
Councilwoman Maria Marino asked about the “entertainment” uses because she was concerned about noise complaints such as those from neighbors of Harbourside in Jupiter. Tuma said they don’t expect any such issues at the plaza the developers envision to be an active community gathering spot similar to Donald Ross Village, another one of their projects.
The center will be subject to the city’s noise ordinances and will require a permit for any special events.
A 13,800-square-foot outdoor seating area is planned.
