Paddy Mac’s Irish pub goes all out to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, and the lead-up is no exception.

The pub and restaurant, 10971 North Military Trail, is getting a six-month head start on the revelry with its “1/2 Way to St. Patrick’s Day” event 5 to 7 p.m. Sept. 17. You can pour your own Guinness, get a certification saying you poured the “Perfect Pint,” keep the glass and get it engraved with your name for $5 and a donation to the Firefighters to the Rescue Fund.

The party will have a soundtrack of bagpipes and music from Ireland’s Tracy Sands, accompanied by Rod MacDonald and Rex Blazer. Corned beef and cabbage are on the menu, along with all the other Irish staples.
