Opponents to the development of the Love Street outdoor marketplace project so far have raised more than half of their $10,000 goal to stop the project on the Jupiter Inlet.
The GOFUNDME page has raised $5,960.
Opponents to the Love Street proposal plan on Friday to file a petition in Palm Beach County Circuit Court for an administrative review of the approval of the project planned by developer Charles Modica, according to Cheryl Schneider, one of the group’s organizers.
The town council approved the project by a 3-2 vote on June 7 after about three years of debate
Plans for the lawsuit to stop the Love Street development drew a sharp rebuke last month from Modica.
“They are going to see a different Charlie Modica if this lawsuit is filed. I have toned down the project. I have worked with the town. They are wasting their time and money,” Modica told the Palm Beach Post.
