Here’s why tenants don’t want to leave Suni Sands in Jupiter

This is why residents of The Suni Sands mobile home park in Jupiter don’t want to leave.

I took this photo this afternoon sitting on the deck of a mobile home owned by two residents in the mobile home, just feet from the Jupiter Inlet.

A sea turtle and manatee swam by. Along came a dozen or so paddle boarders, chatting with us as they rowed by.

The paddle boarders were amazed they could get just feet away from the sealife.

Boaters and sailboats drifted in and out of the Jupiter Inlet. The inlet is in the upper right.

The Jupiter Lighthouse is on the left, outside of this photo.

There’s now about 35 units still occupied, about a third as when the park was full.

Charles Modica, the property owner, wants to build a hotel and a boathouse on the property.

The people still in their mobile homes, who are renting the property, are being evicted.

Follow this developing story in The Palm Beach Post.
