Pizza, Shakespeare and hiking: 3 things to do in Jupiter this weekend

Friday: Parents Night Out is  planned at the South Florida Center and Aquarium in Downtown Abacoa from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. Activities for children between 5-12 include science experiments, a tour of the center, planetarium show and pizza. The cost is $30 per child. For information, call 561-832-2026.

Saturday: The Palm Beach Shakespeare Festival features “The Taming of the Shrew” at Seabreeze Amphitheater at Carlin Park. The gates open at 6:30 p.m. and the performance starts at 8 p.m. A $5 donation is suggested. Call 561-799-7099 or go to pbshakespeare.org for information.

Sunday: Take a hike at Pine Glades Natural Area, a 6,600-acre park open daily from sunrise to sunset. The park on the south side of Indiantown Road about seven miles west of Florida’s Turnpike features canoe/kayak launching, seven miles of hiking hiking trails and fishing catch and release). Admission and parking are free.
