About 400 people watched the release this morning of sea turtle Betty White, a near-adult loggerhead that was  stranded in the Intracoastal Waterway in Jupiter last December with flotation issues.

She was released after being treated at Loggerhead Marinelife Center.

Betty White was fitted with a satellite-linked transmitter prior to the release.

The gadget, about the size of a cell phone, allows her to be followed by logging on to LMC.
