Late-night drivers tonight in central and north Palm Beach County should expect delays starting tonight at 11 p.m. until 6 a.m. Saturday.
Florida Power & Light is planning to install a fiber crossing cable across both north and south lanes of I-95 just south of Central Boulevard.
One Florida Highway Patrol safety vehicle will travel in each lane in both directions of I-95 to slow traffic down while the work is being done.
The northbound slowdown area on I-95 will be from Southern Boulevard to north of Central Boulevard.
The southbound slowdown area on I-95 will be from is Kanner Highway in Martin County to south of Central Boulevard.
Motorists who pass the FHP safety vehicles will receive a ticket, according to the Florida Department of Transportation.
