Florida Gov. Rick Scott will attend the groundbreaking for the United Technologies Center for Intelligent Buildings in Palm Beach Gardens Tuesday morning, his office announced Monday.

The groundbreaking for the showcase, a $115 million capital investment paid for with the help of incentives from Florida, Palm Beach County and Palm Beach Gardens, will begin promptly at 10 a.m. at the site off Donald Ross Road and I-95. UTC Climate, Controls & Security President Bob McDonough and elected officials will speak.

The Center for Intelligent Buildings will result in the creation of 380 jobs and the retention of 70 others.

People can track construction progress on the showcase through a webcam.
