Those bright red flying cardinals on the wall of the former Rooney’s Public House restaurant in Abacoa, which closed after 14 years in 2014, were painted by London artist Dean “Zeus” Colman.

Colman creates “dynamic, experimental compositions that have re-defined graffiti art,” according to his website.

“It’s funny that they call him Zeus. He’s only 5-feet-six-inches tall,” said Josh Simon, a principal with FLF ATC LLC, the company that owns Downtown Abacoa.
