Christ Fellowship members and community volunteers joined together to pack 75,000+ Thanksgiving meals in November for locals who are struggling. Now, they’re stepping up their game for Africa.

The Palm Beach Gardens church wants to prepare 325,000 meals this weekend. Everyone who attends a service at one of seven locations will stop by a food packing station for about 10 minutes to make a few meals. All the components for the meals will be provided.

Christ Fellowship is partnering with OneHope to deliver the meals in Africa, where every child who gets a meal will also get a Book of Hope. The book presents the Gospels in a way children can understand in their respective cultures and languages.

Last year’s Make-A-Meal effort constituted the most volunteers at a single food-packing event. Here are the details for this year. Everyone is invited to participate:

  • The event is at the following campuses April 17 from about 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.: 5343 Northlake Blvd., Palm Beach Gardens, CityPlace, Royal Palm Beach, Stuart, Okeechobee and Boynton Beach.
  • A team of volunteers will make meals at the new Port St. Lucie location Saturday morning, April 16.
  • Meals will be made only at the Palm Beach Gardens and Royal Palm Beach locations from about 6 to 8 p.m. April 16.
