Helping sick children feel better doesn’t always require a medical degree.
A Fork & Cork event 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Legacy Place, 11290 Legacy Ave., benefits Little Smiles of Florida. The organization works with medical personnel, social workers and specialists to meet the needs of families with children in 13 Florida healthcare facilities, including a few local ones.
There will be food and wine tastings with 40 specialty vendors, a Capital Grille cooking demo pavilion, wine seminars and music with a Beatles tribute show. The pavilion will feature seasoned chefs such as “Top Chef” season one contestant Stephen Asprinio and Brian Goode from Capital Grille.
Other demos will include local television and radio personalities.
General admission is $50. VIP admission is $75. For more information: http://www.shoplegacyplace.com/fork-and-cork.
