The Palm Beach Power Squadron’s boating safety class is this weekend.

If you own a boat or you’re just riding on somebody else’s, you might want to sharpen your nautical skills this weekend.

The Palm Beach Power Squadron is offering its boating safety class April 2 and 3 at 1125 Old Dixie Highway in Lake Park, half mile south of Northlake Boulevard.

Registration is 8:15 a.m. Saturday, and class runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. There’s a course review and 60-question exam starting 2 p.m. Sunday. Passing the test earns you a Boating Safety Education ID Card, which the state will mail out in about two weeks.

The state-approved course is $30 a person. Admission is free for a limited time for those between 12 and 19 years old when they’re accompanied by a parent.
