There are plenty of options for pizza, but Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza is different in more ways than one.
For starters, people at each restaurant make the dough from scratch using “pizza whisperer” and Executive Chef Bradford Kent’s recipe, which requires a 24-hour fermentation period to make a light, crisp crust. Then there’s the the NBA connection.
All Star LeBron James is part of the Levy Family Partners investment group driving the California chain’s expansion into South Florida, according to a news release. A franchise in Mainstreet at Midtown, 4665 PGA Blvd. in Palm Beach Gardens, is expected to open in March 2016.
The 1,800-square-foot restaurant will have seating for 60. Diners can customize their 11-inch pizzas from a menu or create their own for about $8. The pizzas are cooked in an open-flame oven for about three minutes.
For those with dietary restrictions, gluten-free dough and vegan cheese are also options. Blood orange lemonade and s’more pies are Blaze Pizza specialties.
Another franchise is expected to open at The Shoppes at Isla Verde in Royal Palm Beach in March. The two locations will be the chain’s fourth and fifth in South Florida.
