Taco Bell is spicing up its look.

The fast food restaurant in the Northlake Commons shopping center will be demolished and rebuilt after Palm Beach Gardens City Council approved changes to the site Thursday. Northlake Commons is on the south side of Northlake Boulevard and east of I-95.

Tara Toto, a project manager with Core States Group, said the building that’s been there for more than 25 years will be replaced with one that has modern-style architecture and a color scheme that matches the rest of the shopping center, she said.

“It will be a nice finished product that the city will be proud of,” Toto said.

Some of the parking will be reconfigured to allow better circulation of cars and access for emergency vehicles, she said. There will be more landscaping, a smaller menu board and new light poles, she said.

The new restaurant with the new look will have the same hours: 6 a.m. until midnight, with the drive-through open until 2 a.m.
