The collector who can’t be cured after scouring antique shops from Key West to the West Coast will share his insights at the Palm Beach Gardens Historical Society this week.

Scott Simmons’ love of history has even led him to make a stop or two at shops and markets in Europe in the 40 years he’s been collecting. He’ll share about “Florida souvenirs and collecting today” at the historical society’s meeting Wednesday at Christ Fellowship Church, 5343 Northlake Blvd.

The former Palm Beach Post features editor specializes in American elegant glassware and writes a collector’s corner each Thursday in Florida Weekly.

The program at 7:30 p.m. in Room 206 will follow a social starting at 7. For more information, call chairman Don Kiselewski at 561-622-8538.
